Partners of Distribution (POD)
A Partner of Distribution (POD) is a vital partner in our mission to serve those in need throughout Southwest Florida. Rather than distributing goods directly to individuals, the Community Compassion Center (CCC) works with trusted PODs – churches, non-profits, and other community organizations – that are best positioned to validate, process, and meet the needs within their own communities.
Each Partner of Distribution serves as a facilitator to receive donated goods from the CCC and then distributes them to individuals and families, based on the specific needs of the community. This decentralized approach ensures that the resources reach those who need them most, in the most efficient and compassionate way possible.
Different Distribution Focuses
Each Partner of Distribution (POD) may have a different focus when it comes to the types of goods they distribute and the specific needs they meet within their communities. While some PODs may specialize in distributing baby products, others may focus on clothing, furniture, appliances, or household items. This diversity of focus ensures that a wide range of needs are met across various regions, allowing each POD to concentrate on what their community members need most. For example:

Located in Sarasota, FL, Compassionate Hands Community Church is dedicated to supporting families with young children. They provide items such as diapers, wipes, baby formula, clothing for infants and toddlers, and other essentials to ensure that young children have the resources they need to thrive.
